Marketing in South Africa

Marketing in South Africa

Hello There, TrudyVan Here
Marketing in South Africa comes with a totally different set of values to that of the Marketing strategies of USA, for example.
SEO Website and Blog Marketing is done totally different here, You first have to sit the Business owner down and explain the basics to him and then work out a Marketing Strategy that he understands and works for his products and services.
The consumers to a large extent relay heavily on what the IT Experts tell them.   These guys speak in IT Lingo and make what they are saying sound so important.

I have had to sort out so many messes that have cost these companies hundreds and even thousands.

The basic conditions for a website are missing, it just looks beautiful and it's swimming in the great Internet Sea and has no anchor.

All the normal business wants is to have a website that works. Not all the nonsense that is told to them.

The website needs to meet the basic Search Engines requirements, Plus their Terms & Conditions
.
You can have one plain page with no fancy graphics and it looks terrible, but this page is pulling in the traffic and your beautiful site, that you paid a Kings Ransom for is not getting a proper trickle of Traffic.

What now?

It is all about content.

Content that informs and educates the viewer about your products and services.

It is easier said than done!

I am a firm believer in having a square plain HTML Site.
(You can believe me when I tell you how many times I have been
laughed at and ridiculed at times.  But my little sites bring
in my business, Time and Time again.)

The right Tags and Descriptions, Information about your products and services, nice graphics and supply the reader the relevant information.

UX - Does your site provide your viewer with a great User Experience?

  • Your content must be written to inform the viewer.
  • You content must be relevant to your keywords.
  • Your images must be relevant to your content.
  • Your site should be easy to navigate.
  • Your viewer must, at all times be able to hit the HOME Button.
  • Above All Else: You Viewer needs to find the information. Quick and Fast.
The best way to test a site is to ask people to evaluate it on a set of predetermined questions.

  1. Did you find what you are looking for?
  2. Did you find it easy to navigate across all the website pages?
  3. What make you stop and view the site?

These 3 questions are most times overlooked.

Take a step back and re-evaluate your site and you webpages.

Do you see the information that you are looking for?

We will speak again soon
Kindest Regards
